Alright but inverts in stuff are all immune to diseases like ich so you are basically just watching for hitchhikers correct?

QT for inverts is primarily designed to "wait out" the maximum life cycle period for crypto (ich) - 72 days. Watching for hitchhikers is a side benefit.

Even though probably low likelihood, there still exists a very reasonable/plausible chance that Ich hitchhikes in on the shell of an invert during its cyst life cycle stage (Tomite). We see frequent reports of this on the forum. Research shows these cysts can last up to 72 days before hatching.

i just keep a simple 10g tank always running that new wet things go into. i don't spend much time or money on it. it plays its part well though.

I'm currently dealing with ich transmitted via non QTed inverts.

I actually don't think its as rare as many suggest, it's just that so many people QT nothing at all, or don't QT fish adequately, that it's tough to figure out whether a disease came from a fish or an invert/coral/rock.
