Queen angel hates fairy wrasses. Is that common?

That's pretty impressive. I bet the rock work had something to do with it. What's your disease prevention method? Were there ever any aggression issues?

Believe it or not I qt nothing. I have a hospital tank and fish trap if needed but treat nothing prior to intro. My display tanks all three have ich so my fish have developed immunities over the years.

Occasionally the passer will bully the emperors (rarely) even though the emperor is the largest (6") the queen is about 4.5" and the passer is about 4.5".

Currently my emperor randomly passed but I replaced him before the fish could really get used to his absence. Same size though, no aggression. My queen is surprisingly passive and has been since the beginning. He and my naso died during a tank move (more succinctly a couple days after)

If breaking "rules" in this hobby, it's best to really break them. For instance, two large Angels would have more chance of issues than three. Same with tangs. My other 180 has achilles, PBT, yellow, purple and desjardi sailfin. No aggression issues for the most part. Achilles most docile fish of group. Always add tangs in twos or threes. If not, aggression kills are possible. My purple is the tank boss aggressor.

I had 7 different genus of angels in my 180g for years before, and kept all inhabitants happy and healthy by giving them enough hiding areas. I also ran UV and kept the FOWLR tank at a lower salinity, in addition to a 15% weekly WC. Maybe those helped too. Yes 2 is not good 3 is the minimum. I just never had two of the same genus of angels in the same tank so I wonder.

That's very cool! My next fish will be an Aussie harlequin tusk. Trying to sell some fish I have to make room.

I keep my tanks warm (80-82 degrees) which can help with ich and also I have a small uv on my 180 with the Angels. It's rated for 75-100 gallons so I have slow flow through it. Wonder if it helps at all

Yeah Aussie HT is really cool. It ate all my bristle worms and that was a pleasant surprise. I also saw my scribble angel eating one the other day. Wonder if those Aussies love the taste of bristle worms? Probably just a coincidence.

Who knows! I have some he could eat! :)
