Question about adding live rock and live sand.

Ok, so I just ordered 180lbs of live sand for my 90gallon DSB. I ordered a specific grain size of 0.1mm - 0.5mm Nature's Ocean live sand. Well, they shipped me 9 bags of the wrong sand. Yay! Super happy about that.

My question is, my live rock is scheduled for delivery on Wednesday, Jan 9th. The plan was to add the rock and sand on Wednesday at the same time. Well, since I won't have the sand now for another 2 weeks once this gets corrected should I cancel the live rock order and wait until I have the sand to add all at once, or should I just add the live rock and then add the sand once I get it?

Is there any real problem with adding the sand later like that?

PS: The live rock will be cured.

No there is no problem in doing that, you can start the cycle until you get your sand.

it should be ok i did and it restarted the cycle but i did not have any affects my tank had been running for about 8 months when i did this and the coral did fine i would have some water made up so you can do a water change after a couple of days though just in case
