Question about Aquaclear Powerheads

Hey,

I just picked up a new Aquaclear 20 powerhead and I was actually reading the instructions (dont judge, I was bored). It says that I should not submerse the powerhead fully. I glanced over to my tank to the 2 completely submerged aquaclear 801 powerheads and thought..."hmmm, wonder if those should be submersed and can I submerse this one?".

So what do yall think? To submerse or not to submerse?

I have 2 in my tank and my instructions also dont submerse but I have them under water for the past 9 months and they have been fine.

I dont own one and after reading this wont.

A non submersible power head. That's a first....

yeah there's a "waterline" marker close to the top of the thing. With the warning "Do not immerse beyond water line"

Weird eh?
