does the chiller has to be in open place? there's a spot in my stand which fit the chiller perfectly but i'm afraid it'll get too hot in there cuz there's no way for the air to get out. maybe it'll start fire???
I don't know that it will catch fire but it makes the chiller alot less efficient. Especially if you have a sump because alot of the heat that is coming out of the chiller is going back into the water and re-heating it.

The specs on chillers I have both specify 24" clearance front and back for proper ventilation, however I think this is more of a guideline as long as its setup with proper ventilation in and out of the cabinet I think your o.k.
