I'm having a few complications with my setup currently. Waiting for tomorrow so I can call Red Sea about getting a replacement sump for my reefer series tank.
I'm all ready to start my cycle.have enough ro/di to mix salt in and fill my display but I won't be running my sump and everything that's in there for another week or so. My question is,can I just start the cycle now in my display with just an mp10 Rock sand and heater? And when my sump comes in I will just hook everything up and match the water parameters?
The only thing I'm worried about is not having any mechanical filtration and wanted to know if that will get in the way of anything during cycle.
System specs
Display 18x18x18 about 16 or so gallons after sand,rock and water level below the overflow.
Sump roughly 7 gallons
If someone can please chime in I would appreciate it.
