the feather dusters in my tank are starting to take off rapidly and i just wanna know if they will try and outgrow the corals or if i can just let them grow as they please?

also, the type of feather dusters-Bispira brunnea-the smaller pinkish purple ones that grow to about .5-.75 inch

I wouldn't worry much about them myself... just one more indicator that your tank is healthy...I like the diversity that they add...

I 100% agree, let them go, you can always trade them for some other livestock.

thanks.that makes me happy.i like when the feather dusters become a decent sized colony(not sure if thats what they are called),they almost look like a lps.also, does anybody know the general life span of these,if there is one?

Given good water conditions, food and lack of predation, I'd imagine that they might well live indefinitely since they are a "colony" individuals might well die off on a regular basis only to make room for younger specimens...
