Question about feeding RBTA

Hi, first off apologies, if this is not the right place to post this question. I wanted to know what we can feed anemones and best place to get the food. This one guy had about 100 rbtas in his 210g and sold me one a while back. It has since grown into a monster 14" wide. My clown normally takes food for the nem during daily feedings but the guy used to feed them silversides?

He said he got them from H-Mart but I can't find it and not sure where to go to get them. Does anyone know where I can get food for them? My lfs has fish and other stuff but they charge an arm n leg for it...

I know we don't need to feed them and the nem does take it food but I would like to feed them (6 rbta)! lol

Any info would be much appreciated.

I buy uncooked shrimp from the local supermarket....
peel off the shell and remove the legs, slice into 1/4" size bites and feed my nems on occasion...
they also eat the mysis I feed my fish to from the water column or I target feed them from time to time.....

You can just chop up any food-grade meaty marine food (shrimp, fish, krill, scallops, clams, squid, fish eggs, etc.)

Note: some have had very severe adverse reactions to feeding silversides - i.e. healthy nems with years of growth dying overnight from a singl feeding. The idea is that silversides are not food grade, and thus their transportation chain may be more relaxed leaving the potential for bacterial contamination.

Thanks guys, you have been very helpful. I actually have all the food mentioned above!!! I have a blended mixture of (scallops, clams, squid, octopus, and shrimp) which I got from H-mart and blended it. I was feeding this to my fish and they loved it...now to chop it up a bit bigger and give it to the nems!

Thanks again guys.

You can actually feed the same mixture to your nems. They don't need "solid" food. Less for work you, less work for the nems to digest!

Thanks D-Nak, I think I will go this route. To be honest, I feed them once every few months and that will consist of new life spec pellets lol...mostly the clowns feed the nem the chopped up food. The guy that I got one of the nem from he had so many and they all came from one original nem. He had so many split...not sure if this is due to stress from the food or something else that may be making them split. So far I've had mine for some time now and it just gets bigger and bigger but no signs of splitting...

What gives??? I kind of want it to split =/
