Question about green star polyps?

What is this growing on the rock? Is it normal? Thanks in advance!

Those are harmless/normal asterina starfish..
They aren't growing on the rock in one place.. They do move all over..

Debatable whether they are pests or not. I have tons and haven't noticed any negative effects.

If you have zoanthids keep an eye on them but other than that largely harmless filmalgae grazers.

I don't trust them. Until somebody can distinguish the good ones from the bad ones without a doubt I'll continue to treat them all as bad. Also, zoanthids are not the only coral that these starfish have been reported to eat. There's plenty of horror stories out there, not only on RC but other sites too.
