question about hosting perc.

I have a true perc that I have tried to get to host about every nem that I can get my hands on but a bta, and he hasn't even got a clue...lol. But today as I am sitting on the couch I see him swimming through my frogspwan and he's diggin it (finally). My question is should I try introducing a bta or let him have his frogspawn buddy? The spawn is 6 heads but not huge so he can't get his full body in there he is just brushing up against it. Very cool and exciting for me none the less.

The best advice I can give is patience. If they want to host the anemone, they will. If he is in the frogspawn, then let him chill there. I have two clowns that pay no attention to my BTA. They pay more attention to my MagFloat, so I could imagine how exciting it is for you to finally see that type of behavior.
Let him do his thing, and keep an anemone anyways, ya never know it may happen.

My percs hang in my 30 head frogspawn at night.
When there is light in the basement but lights are not on in the tank. One stays in the frogspawn and one moves across the tank and hovers in the RBTA that is up at the very top of the tank.

My other tank that has clowns, the two percs hang in a large chocolate colored leather coral. They ignore the GBTA completely.

There is no rhyme or reason to their tendencies from what I can see.

Yea it is definatley exciting for me... so i guess I will just let him hang out in the spawn for few and then maybe introduce a bta in awhile. I have read horror stories about bta destroying any stonies it sees fit.... has anyone ever had this trouble? Now that my little guy has built a relationship will he become more aggressive with that side of the tank? The only other fish in there right now is a coral beauty and he has been staying away from him.
