Question about linking Vortech together

I have one MP10QD and one MP10wQD. I typically run them independently on reefcrest as a I like the total randomness. I recently added the w version because the store was out of regular ones and now I'm considering buying the RF chip for the other one.

Question is, when they are linked, can I still run them independently or do they have to be synced/anti-synced? I was thinking of buying Reeflink to be able to set a schedule but if I can't ever run them as I have them now, I don't know if I want to do that.

Thanks

Anyone?

Basically I want to be able to run tidal swell and independent reefcrest on a schedule, that would be ideal... And probably something at night also and maybe NTM once or twice a week.

You can program each pump to do whatever you want on ecosmart live. They can be in different modes independent of eachother.

Ok cool so it is possible... Thanks. I will probably have to pick up a Reeflink then at some point, it would be nice if these were wifi capable on their own.

You can just program the driver on the driver. Download the full manual and it tells you how to pick and set the modes. It's not hard. You don't reef link for just pumps. If you add a Radion or a Vectra then I would say get a reef link.

Coincidentally I just read your post now, but found the full manual this morning... I didn't realize you could change your night mode time and power setting, etc. That's cool. So the only thing I am really missing is being able to change programs on a schedule (other than night mode) but that's not a big deal really.

Correct, you can do everything else.

I didnt get a reeflink until I decided I was getting a vectra. Having it all on the phone is a beautiful thing but I certainly had no problems making it work before the reeflink. Once I got the inital settings on my light figured out and the pumps figured out. I never really changed it.
