Question about lumatek ballast?

I just recieved the lumatek ballast 150/175/250 watt, my question is I have a 150 watt bulb on there right now, can I turn the HQI setting with the 150 watt bulb or does it have to be a 250 watt bulb? Also if left on the HQI w/150 watt what will happen?

No, the HQI setting is for 250 watts bulbs. Running a 150w bulbs on it would be running the bulb at nearly double its wattage. Could result in bulb failure or worse, at the least greatly reducing its life pretty quick.
