My cleaner shrimp is shedding his skin and seems to be having trouble. He has been just laying on his back all day not moving!!! I thought he was dead and so when i went into my tank to pick him up and i saw that he was still alive. Should i leave him or is he doomed?????

He just lays there and doesnt move!!! The current sweeps him away and he doesnt even try to swim away.

my purple lobster died molting...

then i found out that Trace amounts of iodine are necessary for soft corals to grow and crabs and shrimp to successfully molt

Yes it is likely caused by lack of nessecary elements, could even be alkaliniy / calcium.
You could try to rescue him by helping remove the shell, but it is likely a lost cause.
