Question about Osmolator

I recently installed my new Osmolator in my sump.

I noticed that when the optical sensor gets submerged, the "too low" status lights up and it looks like the Osmolator gets confused on what to do, sometimes the pump gets turned on.

This happens for example when I am floating bags to acclimate livestock, then the water level in the sump goes up temporarily.

Am I doing anything wrong? How to avoid this? Thanks.

It could be that their is just a wave that hit the sensor, so momentarily it says too low. When they are new sometimes a film of air sticks to the sensor especially when rapidly submerged and this can cause an error, this goes away after time or you can rinse the sensor with soap and warm water. It is the same as a new skimmer repelling water, plastic has this property until it gets a coating on it. Does it function normally otherwise?

Yes, it works great. A suggestion for future models would be a button to turn on/off. It would be useful for water changes.
