Question about package for nano reef

Hi,
I've just bought my first nano tank (24g Aquapod). This will actually be my first attempt at a saltwater tank. Real excited about it.

I'm planning on buying the package from TBS, probably the 20 gallon package. I'm just wondering about all of the critters that are included in the package. It seems like a lot for this small of a tank.

I'm especially curious about the brittle start. According to the TBS site, there is one included even at the 20 gallon size. How large will a brittle start get? Will it outgrow a 24 gallon tank?

Any info would be appreciated.

Hey Greg. This is a great point. I have a 12g Nanocube, and the brittle star was waaay to big for my tank. the poor thing barely had room to move around. So, I really had no choice to sell it and the condy anemome that Richard was nice enough to throw in for free to the LFS. A 24g might be a different story, but I'd still think it's too small. Anyway, there are several smaller brittle star hitch hikers that are doing great in my tank, which you'll probably get in your rock too, and they get into those potentially "dead spots" and sift through the sand.

Wickedfood,
Thanks for the info. Overall, are you happy with your shipment from TBS? So far, the feedback about them seems to be overwhelmingly positive.

Completely satisfied with it. Never a dull moment seeing whats pops up next. And even the nasty known hitch hikers, like gorilla crabs and mantis shrimp, weren't so bad in my little tank, and actually made things more interesting.

Good to know. My aquarium arrived today. No obvious cracks or damage, but I'm going to do a leak test over the weekend just to be sure.
Assuming that passes, I'll just have to wait to get the rest of my equipment and then the LR.

Being on a budget is aggravating cause I'm anxious to get going on this.

Anyone else have any opinions they'd like to share about putting the TBS package in a nano aquarium?

I've never been able to figure out how large a tank can be and still be consider a nano but I stocked my 29g reef 1/2 with LR I had on hand and 1/2 with TBS. The TBS LR was a great addition and I have no regrets.
