Okay so i understand putting the fish in a qt tank for about 6-9 weeks for treatment and what not. My question is do you even qt green chromis? The water in my tank is finally cycled yay! I was goona place some Green Cromis in there to get things started but didn't know if I should qt them? :uhoh3:

Yes, you should QT them. If they are carrying any parasites, they will infect the DT making it problematic for future additions.

^^^^^I agree completely. Failure to always use a QT may be the biggest cause of lost fish in our hobby^^^

FWIW, water doesn't cycle. The tank does. If you moved your water to a new tank, it would do nothing to cycle the tank. The tank is cycled by friendly bacteria that live in the LR, substrate, and filter media.
