question about rock curing

Sarah and I are wanting to start curing some rock for our 55 gallon tank. We recently got all the fresh water stock out of it, and are wanting to start it up as a Salt water tank, is it a good idea to put sand in with the curing rock so that the sand can cure as well, or should we add sand later? What is the best way to cure rock. We are not looking to do all of this over night just trying to get our ducks in a row before jumping into it and screwing up.

Cure the rock in a garbage can. Once cured, add sand to the tank, place rock, and cycle tank. Some folks place rock and then add the sand.

Add the sand when setting up the tank. If you put it with the LR you are going to end up with a lot of die off in the sand.
