question about silicone seal in my 75 gallon

I set up a 75 gallon aquarium. Filled it up and has been filled for a week so far so good. I just noticed something about the silicone sealant in my 75 glass tank. It appears to only be in between the glass panels, no thick silicone beading going up any of the verticals as opposed to my 29 that does.

looks like this but the verticals look like it has silicone left over from doing it?

The bottom panel of glass has a thick film all around the bottom. On a side note the bottom glass says "Tempered" on it.
Anyways almost 2 weeks later still good with water in, should i be worried?:mad2:

Any help would be great and yay my first post here =D!!!

It looks fine. Most larger tank bottoms are tempered, it's nice to know for sure one way or the other, as you cannot drill a tempered glass panel.

that picture is just a example, mine doesnt look that clean heh. Im just concerned as to why the verticle edges i my tank have no thick silicone seams going up, just inbetween the glasses. I really dont want to have 75 gallons of water in the floor

id like to also add if it isn't clear from what i wrote above, the silicon is only between the glass edges, not the joints. hard to explain =/

The thicker silicone does add some strength to the joint, but if properly applied, silicone only at the joint looks cleaner and does not sacrifice much in the way of structural integrity. Most of the high end tank builders pride themselves on their ability to build tanks with minimal amounts of silicone on the vertical joints.

Yeah that still freaks me out to this day. Im running an oceanic rimless and it still gets me. Make darn sure that bad boy's level.

how level does it have to be? I set it up and its sliiiightly off level with the leveling bubble ruler. I ca see its like a centimeter off, should i be worried?

Silicone adhesive only needs to be between the glass like this. Extra is useless. Stop worrying.

Manufacturers over seal smaller tanks because the glass is too thin.
