When we bought them at the store obviously they were open and doing well. Once we got them back (it took probably 8 hours to get them home and into the tank) only some of them are opening. It's been 2 weeks. I don't have the parameters pf the tank on me but I was wondering why half open up and half don't when they were doing so well at the store.

well in short.. they did better at the store cause they were in the right conditions and your tank is a different environment, so I wouldnt try to equate the two places in this case.

Depending on what you have and where it is in your tank will affect things. Gonna need parameters of the tank, lighting, waterflow, livestock including other corals (are any near the colony) etc.

I had 1 colony that barely opened for nearly a month.. I moved it to a slightly higher flow area and they are all opening up again, you may just need to find a spot that they are happy with. Some like different lighting, some different flow.
