Question: Fish Eggs?

I'm a fairly avid fisherman and from time to time I will keep a bass, catfish, snook, red fish, trout.....Every so often I run into one that is full of eggs. I like to feed reef caviar, when I can find it, which is simply fish eggs. Do you think it would be okay to harvest the eggs from the fish I'm cleaning, freeze them and feed to the tank?

I have fed fresh water eggs to some of my fish in the past. I don't know why it would hurt.

Probably ok in most cases, but some species have roe that can be poisonous (although maybe not for other fish). I don't know if there would be any risk of introducing any pathogens or not.

Do you think freezing them first would eliminate the pathogen concern?
