question for museumguy...

I took a trip up to the Strong Museum in Roc. the other week, and looking in the nem/host tank I saw a pair of white shrimp towards the front right corner of the tank. I only noticed the one shrimp at first, with the goby sitting on the sandbed, but then the other shrimp came out. I was just wondering what type of shrimp and goby that was. Thanks for the help!

Sorry, do not frequent board as much as I used to, but PMs always get my attention ASAP. The fish is an Aurora goby Cryptocentrus aurora, and the shrimp are Tiger Pistol Shrimp. The shrimp are probably Alpheus bellulus but I'm not 100% sure on the species.

I hope you liked the tanks! If you ever stop by again ask for the fish guy and I'd be happy to give you a tour if interested.

Cheers!

Oh man I wish I would have known that! It was just me and my son that time and he would've though that the behind the scenes were cool. I'll definitely ask next time I'm out that way. The tanks looked really great! I'm excited to see the river tank next time. It was just lit with a few blue LED's so I assumed it wasn't ready to be fully on display yet. Thanks for the response! I might have to get that trio for my tank at some point. It was fascinating watching the two shrimp at work.
