Question for those with Coralife lighting

I have a 4X96 PC Current fixture right now and I am thinking of upgrading to MH lighting. My concern is that the Current fixtures (at least mine) exhausts from right to left. The tank is tucked very close to the wall on the left. with the current fixture, it gets the wall a little warm but not hot at all. I am afraid that with a MH fixture (probably 2X150) it will be too much heat that close to the wall. My question: Does anyone know if the Coralife fixture exhaust from left to right?

I believe the coralife fixtures have the fans on top of the fixtures.

i have the 2x250 the fans ARE on the top...there are vents on the sides but they are more for the cf lights.

are you putting it under a canopy?

I was in one of Fav LFS today, and put my hand under some M/H, wow they really put off some heat. Research and test!

They are on top.

I have the same light and know what you mean. Your going to have to research before you buy. Or maybe make something that will deflect the heat. Maybe a piece of tin screwed into the wall, and bring it out say an inch and a half, as a heat shield. Or fans prehaps.... Good luck!

Thanks for the replies. I do not have a canopy. If they are on top that may work. I was thinking I could rig a fan if the heat was too much. Here is a pic to show what I am working with. Its an old pic from when I set up but you can see what I mean. Is this too close to the wall to even think about MH lighting?

on both of my coralife lights they have fans on top...
