In planning stages to have local manufacturer build glass 180G tank. I have a 100G freshwater tank from them and it is very well built. Plan to have an overflow built in each back corner. Is it better to have a drain and a return in each overflow(2 holes per overflow) or drain in one overflow and one return in the opposite corner overflow(1 hole per overflow)? I am thinking both a drain and return in each overflow like they have in the Oceanic tanks. Does anyone have any thoughts on this to help me decide what is best? I will not have a closed loop. Flow/movement will be via Tunze powerheads and 1 Vortech which I already own. I have less than 2 yrs experience in saltwater so need help with this! I will be combining a 45 and a 75G tank.
