My 6100 tunze is making this beeping noise from the driver box... when it switches on, it starts beeping... the other one is fine, but every interval it switches, my other tunze beeps... seems like the pump itself doesnt even turn on... so wats going on ?

How old is the pump? When is the last time you clean it? Are there anything i.e snail, dead fish or anything may stuck inside the pump?

Take the pump apart making sure the impeller is clean, spin freely and free from coraline algae. Good luck

As a first step follow the cleaning thread at the top of this forum. If that doesn't fix it it will likely need to come in for repair.

I do not recommend push start because that is your finger with a sharp blade you are playing with. On the Tunze warranty only cover the pump and part not human finger :D

 The main problem is that if a push start is required, something is wrong, most likely the upper bearing is seized to the magnetic rotor in these cases.

That's what I did to my tunzes after they were soaked in vineger for a while then they started beeping, of course push start with a stick not your finger, once it starts it seems to be fine.

Take the drive unit out, and give it a thorough cleaning, soaking alone will not get the lime deposits out of tight spaces. Long term, if a push start is required the pump can be damaged as it is using more power to run. The reason it needed a push start was the resistance was too much for the electromagnet to overcome on start up, usually in these cases the pump is running at near the maximum wattage it can handle. The problem usually is due to calcium build up on the upper bearing, often it is stuck to the magnet.
