I moved my saddlbacks into their own tank last night, and I'm noticing some behaviour changes. They were similar in size when I bought them and since then the male hasn't really grown (~1.5"-2"), but the female has easily doubled in weight (she's ~3"). They definitely look and act like a pair; They've always stayed together, and I've seen the male act submissive to the female (doing little shimmies and headstands).
My concern is now that they're in the new tank the female is chasing the male much more than before. He doesn't look at all stressed, and they're still hanging out together, but every once in a while she just takes a run at him. The female is a VERY agressive fish; she's head-butting big hermits 1/3 her size, biting the powerhead, and showing her reflection who's boss (though she did that in the 65g too).
I guess my question is this: is she just reasserting herself as the dominant fish in a new environment, or is any of this cause for concern?
