Question on frag tank

I want to set up a 20 gal tall frag tank and was wondering if i should get a 250 or 175 halide for it? I'm not gonna run a chiller but, will mount it about 14" off the surface. what do you suggest?
 
I am running a 175 on my 30 breeder which is 12" tall. With a 10k bulb I feel the par is plenty considering most frags are with 6" of the surface
 
18w PC mini coralife......you are just going to kill everything anyway, what does it matter if you kill them with a good light or not

Well I'm glad you knew that, because I sure couldn't tell. And neither could the members that reported the post to us.

No disrespect intended, but really, you ought to change your standard warning - "Here at Reef Central..." It's kind of creepy... like Big brother and the Smiley Police. And I thought 1984 was behind us!:D

you guys are killin me!! :)

does anyone have any advice for the frag tank :)?? I'm leaning toward a 250watt 12K Coralvue Reeflux but maybe i should do a 10K for better growth?? any advice.

I love how my comment on lighting offended people....oh by the way guys, I am a good friend of Jon's (good one) so I was just messing with him. A comment about his lighting and killing coral is not that offensive, atleast I didn't think so..


not nearly as bad as the time I invited mmd to a butt kicking.....lol

I am sorry if my power compact lighting comment offended you....oh no wait.....this is stupid......If you found my comment offensive then you need to get off the computer and go get friends........

oh jon, I say you get a nice 24 inch all glass top, and change out the bulb to a nutigrow 20 watt bulb.......that ought to grow your frags
