Question on fragging these

I just got these in today, and the piece is alot bigger than I expected. Just wondering if anyone has fragged these before? It looks like they are on a stalk or stem of some kind.

They are a type of stick polyp, very nice, only have seen them a few times. I think you just breach the LR that they are on beween to polyps and super glue it to some LR. You could also try scrapping under them with a razor.

It looks like they come right out of the branch. They are not attatched to any live rock, just this "limp" branch.
I just wanted to make sure if I cut this branch, that I wasn't going to kill the whole colony.
