Question on Group Buys

I've noticed that the guys in LA are always having group buys. they are getting some really great deals on reef stuff. I know this is a strange question but do you peeps think we could all rally and get group buy together too or are there just only a few active peeps on this board? maybe we can join LA, NVR, and SEAbay. which would equal more buying power. just a thought.

Normally if you want to do a group buy, you can just post it and organize it yourself.

yeah but if peeps are all duds then i'll look in LA then. i was just wondering if everyone is willing to put out any effort for this. some groups have one a month that members organize.

i would be down for hamilton bulbs too.

we have had plenty of great group buys. and we're not duds... if you're interested, set it up and see what kind of response you get =) there are a ton of people who are on this forum.

just brain stormming for more buying power for us. before you got here we had a group buy that involved all 3 bay area groups. and i noticed lately they have been very little.

i think lately we've just been trying to do GB's on things people need, then mostly not that many people need that particular part. what do you have in mind for the brain storming?

Why don't you just set one up and see how people response?? If it something we all need then I'm sure we will be interested.


It's a lot of works to setup a group buy.. Even a small group buy..

yeah see i've notice that too. like nobody is interested. so maybe we could vote on 10 things and 2 peeps could chase down some leads. then next month vote on another 10 and another 2 differnt peeps chase them down. unless someone has a better idea

we could start a thread each month and have everyone list what they need at the moment. then take the things that are most group buy worthy and turn it into a group buy with maybe 3 people leading.
