Question on Purple Seafan

I just received your purple seafan today.
1st I must say, it's beautiful & some polyps starts to come out.

It's already mounted on a plug, but it only secured on 1 tiny branches on the plug, so the seafan still flailing too much by the current (almost looks like it's falling down left & right).
My question is can you tell me how do I make it more secure?
My thinking is to glue a toothpick vertically on the plug, then tie around a few branches of the seafan with a fishing line to the toothpick until the seafan encrust the plug.
I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not, since I don't want to injured the coral.
LMK if you have another idea. TIA

Bidadari,

Thank you for the excellent question and compliment on the quality of the coral. You can certainly place this in a more protected area in your tank. Moving live rock into a “U” shape and placing the coral in the center would work nicely to lessen the direct flow and look great. We would not recommend using a toothpick in a marine environment. If you would like to secure the fan to the plug we would recommend using cyanoacrylate glue. We hope you find this information helpful. Good luck and enjoy your new coral!

Ginger thanks for the reply.
Are you sure securing this seafan to the plug with super glue gel will be fine? I mean glueing the seafan's "live tissue" directly onto the plug will not cause any harm to it?
I know it's fine for SPS frags, but not sure with seafan. This is my first seafan as you can tell :)

Bidadari,

We understand you are concerned and want to make sure to secure the fan correctly. Using the cyanoacrylate glue will not harm the fan. In fact our Coral Farm uses this method.

Sincerely,
