Question on softy placement

Is it ok to put multiple small frags of zoas or ricordea on the same rock/space?

Yes. Zoas usually get along with each other. Ricordea's (of the same species) also generally get along with each other. Although there will still be competition between them, it just won't be outright warfare.

Thanks for the feedback. I started my 55 gal. tank and have tons of rock space to cover. Recieved three frags today from reefs2go (frags were ridiculously tiny!). I put all of them on seperate rocks. Looking so bare, so I was going to get some more at my lfs to fill in the spaces. Zoas are melon, dragon eye and green. Ricordea is a blue

You'll be fine, but you may want to spread them out more if you are looking to fill in the tank more/to test where in the tank your softies thrive the most.
