question re nano skimmer

I am looking for a decent skimmer for my 12 gal Aquapod. It still has the 3 chambers in the back, the middle of which has my Viper 70 MH HQI attached to . For those familiar with this tank, is there a hob skimmer what will fit into the left chanber? I have been looking at the JBJ Nano Skimmer, which is made for the 12 gal JBJ, but unsure if this will fit into the left chamber of my 12 Aquapod. Would much prefer to not have it hanging over the side. TIA

Why use a skimmer on such a small tank?
I have great luck with doing only a 3 gallon water change a week on my 32 gallon at the shop. Most small skimmers won't remove as much nutrients in months compared to a good water change. If you pay $120 for a Sapphire skimmer...that equates to 133 weeks of water changing at 3 gallons per week. That is 2 1/2 years of water changes. Plus your water change is adding back trace elements and major elements that a skimmer will not.

I am not trying to attack here...only pointing out what I think would be a better way to spend money, and get the same, if not better, results.

I ordered another faucet adapter today for downstairs. I hate lugging the saltwater up and down the steps. ro/do upstairs with the larger tanks and the two smaller tanks are downstairs. This way, I will make my ro/di and saltwater downstairs. I will be able to do water changes much more often. Thanks guys!!
