Question regarding qt

If I have a large piece of filter floss that I put in my DT sump for 2 weeks can I consider this floss to be "cycled" and to use in my qt so the qt is then cycled?

Not sure 2 weeks is enough. I'd go with 3 or 4 weeks.

imo, two weeks should be enough. nevertheless, don't forget to test and control ammonia.
