I have several black pearl looking objects in my tank. Does anyone know what they are? One is on a rock that has coral on it which hasn't grown much since it has been there but not sure if that is the reason or if it just slowed down on its growth.
My guess would be bubble alge too. I've had some in the past that are a dark dark green color. Almost look black. If it is, take them out by hand and do not pop them until they are out of the tank.
they only hurt things when they grow out of control and take over the item they are growing on. Emerald crabs are good at keeping them under control. Otherwise just carefully pluck them out. They are tear dropped and should come up, but if you pop it you will have more very soon..
