As I mentioned earlier got a good deal on a 55g and this weekend moved everything from my 30g to the 55. My question: since the move, I have been noticing strands of stuff, sort of like spider webs, mostly around my feather duster. Some of the hermit crabs have walked through it and its all over them now. Any idea what this is??

Its probably mucous put off by corals when they get stressed. Its normal and as long as its not too much, they should be ok. The mucous should dissolve eventually. You could also look up vermetid snails. They are tiny tubes that stick out of the rock and they emit a type of mucous net to catch things. They arent bad in small number, but can get ugly or irritate corals occasionaly.
