are the koralias and tunze nanostream 6025 the same thing.. move about the same amount of water. i may get the koralias if there the same.. the nanostream is so back out that i can't wait that long for something for my corals.. i was thinking about getting a nanostream 6045 but i think that would be too much on my 29 gal with my soft corals.. so please tell me what you think what koralia you think would go great for my tank. If you think there ok.. i would like to jsut have one at the top to create surface flow and keep corals happy and healthy.

Get the small Korilla. It's much cheaper than the tunze and if you really like it, down the road, get the Tunze. The Tunze's are much higher quality but if you are not going to use 2 or more of them and a controller, the Korilla is a good alternative.

They'll be all right....But I prefer having more than one pump of that kind...the kind with the broad flow (Koralias, Tunzes, Seios, Vortechs, etc. so that the flow in your tank is more random than just coming from one direction. You can mix them to suit your budget, even if temporarily until you can upgrade.

I was going to get the nanostream 6025 but there so on backorder.. so i'm going with this now.. see how i like it.. then upgrade later on..

onecrazyboi4u,

You should be OK with a Korilla and a MJ. Just point the MJ toward the front glass to disperse the flow (not at a coral or close to one) and you should be fine.

so id be ok with a koralia 1 and amaxijet 900 .. or would that be too much for softies?

I think that would be fine for you. But, to make it a whole lot better, put a Hydor Flow-deflector on the Maxijet. That will really improve the kind of flow you have and make a big difference.

I totally agree with Avi. I have two koralia #1 and a Hydor Flow deflector on an MJ 1200 and the current in the tank is unbelievable.
