is it possible to drill 2 holes in the bottom of a glass tank? i want to setup a sump below, and would like an "intank" overflow... not the kind that go over the back.
If the tank isn't tempered then yes. I would use heavy duty bulkheads to help reinforce the holes though and don't drill them too close to the edge..... ie > 2" away.

how do u know if its tempered? i think its kind of an old tank... got it second hand from a friend who had it for a while. will tempered glas just shatter?
Yes tempered glass will just shatter. It's hard to tell from just looking at it. You can take the size and compare to what the manufacturer does currently and get a good guess.
