Questions about fish in my QT

It been almost 8 weeks since I had an Ich breakout and left my tank fallow. I treated my fish with copper( 2 clown fish and a diamond goby). When I observe my clowns it looks like they are breathing fast but I cant decide if its normal or is the fish still sick. The clowns look great and swim around picking on each other.

The fish were treated with cupramine for 4-5 weeks. then I started to do water changes to remove the copper.

I took a video with my iphone to shows the fish but the quality isnt that good.

Carbon or Cuprisorb will remove the carbon almost instantly; you don't want to have the fish exposed to Cu longer than necessary. I don't see a problem in the video, but I'm not good with pics. How's the ammonia and how are you testing it?

I didn't put any carbon in there but I will pick up a bag asap. I just kept doing 50 percent water changes every week for 4 weeks.I didn't check for ammonia as I keep vacuuming out the waste and doing water changes.

Monitoring ammonia in a QT is vital; regardless of WCs. most ammonia test kits don't work with Cupramine, but the stick-on ammonia alert badges do. Most QTs are not cycled (they easily can be) and ammonia can reach dangerous levels quickly. I sure don't know if your clowns are breathing OK, sounds like they are; but ammonia can cause that problem and is often a concern in a QT. How is the fish's appetite?

I will try to pick one up as soonest I have time. The fish eat like pigs lol every time I come home from work it looks like they are waiting for me :). I will go to my LFS this week and see how normal clowns breathe because I cant tell if they are breathing normal or not.

Ash the clownfish section of this forum how many breathing reps per min. is normal; you'll get an answer.
