Questions about PC lighting

Out of curiosity.... why all that light for a refugium?

75 gallon tank. Tried the "Melev" PC lights but not enough. Hav had 175 MH (se) but want that for frag tank.

So gonna use 2 of these 96 watters on the fuge.

I'm not sure exactly what you're growing in your fuge, but did you try the 75w Eco bulbs they sell at menards. They only actually run at 22w if I remember correctly, but one of them lights up half of my 75g sump/fuge. PC's put off a bit of heat as well.


Just tossing it out there for ya. I'd also take a pic if ya wanted.

I was running 2 of Melev's bulbs. Just trying to grow chaeto (given up on the other stuff).
