Don't give up that quick on a response, not everybody hangs out here on the weekends.

I did a little research on the 200 vs. the 500 and found quite a few positive reviews using the search feature here on RC.

I have a reefpack on my 65Lt system. Its a bit overkill but i havent had any issues with it. The skimmer works a treat on it .
The only thing i changes was put some other media in the filter and had a small amount of filter wool on top. The two units work very well togerther.

For a tank your size it wll cope quite nicely. They are suited for up to 200Lt but it would work really well on a tank that size. If you get the chance, add an osmolator. Once the water level drops below the comline overflow the microbubles will come out in full force.

A search here in the Tunze forum ...

Can't find any pics of the Reefpack 200 in action but this thread has a pic of the Reefpack 500 mounted. The 500 would definitely be oversized for your tank.

What pictures were you after? Just of one mounted and running in a tank. Ill try and get some pics of mine in the tank if you want.

As for the pump, what sort of tank are you going for? Is there any particular type of corals going into the tank or is it a mix?

You could go for one of the nano's 6025 which is going to put out around 2,500 l/h (660 gal).

Aquadepot,

What's your opinion on usung a Reefpack 200 on a 50 gallon tank? I know it's pushing the upper end of the size range, but I plan on using it in a zoanthid/ mushroom only tank with a very light fish load.

If you arent having a huge bio load on it i dont see any huge issues. You will be pushing its limits. I have found them to work very well with smaller tanks but once you start levelling its limit you can notice them struggle to keep it entirely clear all the time.
You would probably have better luck using one of the Reefpack 500's (0500). These are made for tanks above the 200Lt (52G) mark up to 500Lt (132G). I think you will have much better results using one of the 500's. They are a about double the size of the nanos but i think it would be a better choice.

Yeah, I thought you would say that. The 500 does make more sense, I just balk at the price. I guess I need to suck it and just go for it.

BTW, thanks for being around on the weekends to answer questions.

Ah thats cool,

Trust me you will finfd the 500 to be more than sufficient for the tank.
It is indeed a huge jump from the 200 but you get a lot more for it as well.
