I was womdering if any of you have experience with this product and also how much media do I use for a 75g with 30g refugium? Yes this is a reef tank.

So that depends on the media that you are using. Brs had calculators on their site. If you post the product your using I can let you know. Alternatively here is a link to the calculators.

Of course you would calculate your total volume as 105 gallons. Hope this post was helpful. Reply if you have any more questions or you find the information insufficient.

Remember with carbon/gfo its better to use a lesser amount than too much. If you use too much it can strip your water too fast and bleach your corals.

Well I finally set it up today and despite having a couple of leaks (do to not pushing in the fittings all the way) I love this thing. I started with half a cup of gfo and a cup of carbon. I have always run 2 bags of carbon in my system so I dont think this would hurt. In the gfo I left one pad on the bottom so that I would not get fines trapped in it. Also my return is being dumped back into the overflow were the fuge dumps into the return chamber its dumping right on to the filter pad. I had a rio 800 lying around and that little pump is plenty big. All in all I'm very impressed.

It does suck that I had to set it up then leave for work. Now I'm calling the wife every 5min to check and make sure everything is okay.

So After it's first 12 hours of operation My tank has never been clearer, don't get me wrong my tank has always been really clear but this just seems like it's polished. I'm so happy right now.

Just a heads up from a fellow BRS reactor user. occasionally check the first chamber wit the GFO in there. it tends to slow down after a few days to where the GFO doesnt tumble anymore, which is no bueno. so every couple days i would open the valve all the way for like 2 seconds just to turn everything really well in the chamber then reset the ball valve to the appropriate setting so the GFO tumbles again. its a small problem with those reactors running in series like that. but can easily be fixed by opening the ball valve to get circulation in there again....

i eventually got tired of this and split the reactors so they run independently off the same pump now...

Did you happen to use the bottom foam pad in the gfo chamber. I'm aware of this issue and was hoping that would help. But yhea I literally am in my fuge cabinet about every 30min when I'm home. I guess it goes with the territory lol.
