Questions on Fliter Media

I currently have an Eheim 2026 pro filter that I just have lying around and not even using I think it has about 3-4 chambers to put stuff in and wanted to know if what I think would work.

I was thinking that in the first chamber I could have a filter pad to get the junk that comes in right off the bat.

The second chamber could have 2 media bags 1 with carbon and 1 with phosban in it.

And the final chamber could have some LR rubble in it to help out.

If there are 4 chambers then I guess the Phosban and Carbon would be in their own separate chamber instead of being together..

Will this work as far as using the phosban and carbon like that?

If there is any particular product that you guys can recommend (Like a certain name brand of carbon) that you have or currently use I would appreciate it..

Or any suggetions would be greatly appreciated..

BTW this is going on my 29 gallon tank..

I use GFO and carbon in mine all the time. Sometimes separate other times mixed. I also use either PURA or polyfilter as the top layer.

Only have a canister filter on my FOWLR not my reef.
