Do you think it would be possible to automate the process of feeding the tank through a dosing pump directly from the culture bottles, and can a continuous culture be maintained through resupply of fresh salwater to the bottles via another dosing pump?

Yes this could be done. A drip method could also be used to prvide continuous supply.

This is a little harder to do. The problem comes in maintaining the phyto density and proper amount of fertilizer. Do a search in the Advanced Topics forum and you should find a couple of threads to give you some ideas.
