BTW, I like these Scarlet Hermit's, they are snail-friendly and you can add a few to the main tank (rather than the fuge). Again, hermit crabs don't eat algae and there is no need to put them in the fuge.

If you have that fuge, you can almost add 10 x Cerith and 10 x Astrea in there to deal with the algae.

That seems like a lot of snails for that small a fuge.

Cerith prefers sand bed and Astrea prefers rocks. You can adjust the numbers according to what you have in the fuge.
