do i need atinic lighting when i use my halides???


if i were to sell my 10Gal tank i had with light stand some corals fish or 2 realy everything for someone to have a nano what should i charge???

Most people run actinic with there halides...

That would be up to you on the price of the nano

Depends on the color temp of the MH bulbs you are using. I prefer having 10k bulbs with actinic supplemented with VHO's or PC's.

The 10k bulbs have a higher Par value will promote faster growth and better color in my opinion. 14k bulbs are more blue than the 10k bulbs and 20k even more so. I see many people running 20k's w/no actinics.

A fish store locally is charging $199 for a 12 gal nano with PC,filter,skimmer,sand,LR,a couple of false percs,and a large toadstool and some shrooms..3 or 4....I believe it is one of the Current USA nanos....hopefully that should give you an idea...as far as the actinics...I agree with RhodeIslandReef..I run 10k's with actinics also...they do add to the color...
