Quick Disconnects

I have an acrylic AIO tank on my kitchen counter that I want to put one of my 6040s in. The holes in the tank and in the counter will only allow the passage of a standard grounded plug. I'd like to put some connectors between the controller and the pump, similar to those on the Osmolator pump, so that I can cleanly thread the cord out of the tank and through the counter. I would imagine this will void my warranty, but otherwise do you see any problem doing this?

Thanks,

Jason

I wouldn't do that and their is no reason to, if you open the controller, the pump unplugs inside and the plug is smaller than a standard grounded plug, the manual shows how. Basically just undo the two screws on the back and pull off the 3 knobs and it unplugs inside.

Thank you Sir! That sounds much easier. One of the senior guys where I work always responds to questions from younger guys with, "Did you check your manual?" Next time I'll crack the manual first.
