Quick Frogspawn Mounting Question

I bought my first LPS last week from the LFS and it was not mounted on anything. The piece has 2 branches but only one of them has the heads coming out of one of them.

How would you go about mounting this in the tank? I have these giant turbo snails that are knocking it down every night.

Is it ok to have this in the sand like planting a plant?

if you put it in the sand, it'll likely get knocked over again. Glue/epoxy or both is the way to go. You can always snap off the dead branch if it makes the placement easier

try to find the gel type superglue. Use the 2part epoxy, glue the ball of epoxy to the frag, then glue the other side of the epoxy surface to the rock. You should end up with rock-glue-epoxy-glue-frag. This will ensure the best hold.

Wedge em in, Bury them in the sand, Glue them onto rock... it all works. These euphyillas grow fast so I don't personaly like to glue them down.

They will do better if they have some sort of solid attachment. Movement inhibits growth/polyp extension to some extent.

For a more secure connection with larger colonies I've used 3/16" carbon fiber rod (available at hobby shops). Drill 3/4" into the rock and into the skeleton, use a 1 1/2" piece of rod and glue them together with thick super glue/ CA.
