Quick Lighting Question

Hey - first off - that meeting at Grace's house was great. Was nice to talk to some experienced people and learn some other ways of doing things.

I have a quick question. Is there any reason to stick to name brands of bulbs? I need to replace the bulbs on my Coralife Aqualight ballasts and was wondering should I stick with these?

or are these cheaper, generic ones sufficient?

This is for a 150g (6'long, 18"deep, 29" high) reef tank that I also have 3 250watt 10K Ushio Metal Halides.

That may be more info than what you need, but really want to know people's opinions on generic vs name brand bulbs.

Thanks.

Joe, Marine Depot typically sells quality stuff. I wouldn't be afraid to use anything from them. The price is great.

You can get the Coral life bulbs at Hellolights.com- go to the sponsor button and scroll down, for 29.99 also. But what ever bulb will work. I thought true actinic was only with VHO? Maybe these Compact Flourescent are just blue.
