quick question about my LR

ok so i got my live rock today, 67lbs of fiji premium from liveaquaria. Right now i have it in buckets and am in the process of cleaning it. How long would the rock be ok in 5 gal buckets for? because it's getting late and i dont know if im up for cleaning it all tonight. Thanks

You will want to make sure to keep it wet, it will get more die off the longer you wait, and some coraline will die. How are you cleaning it?

It will help reduce die-off if you can keep it heated and ideally with an air stone for aeration. I wouldn't worry to much about one night, get some rest!

I would not worry about cleaning it to much. Just put it in the tank and watch the ammonia spikes. it the ammonia spikes high do a 20 per cent water change.

+1. Get your sleep and start refreshed in the AM! Your rocks will be fine. If you bought "cured" rock, you can basically just take a bucket of water from a water change and shake and swish the rocks for a few minutes a piece, then put them in your display tank. If it is uncured, you will want to keep it in buckets and change the water every few days. Keep doing this for a few weeks to make sure that all the die-off is pretty much done
