Quick question please?

I'm preparing to spend the next 10 hours or so :lolspin: doing my tank swap out. I believe I have everything prepared that I need but having never done a swap this should be very interesting to say the least.

My question is for my corals should I use the actual tank water they are in now to store them in a vat? Or could I use new salt water that I mixed up a few days ago preparing for the move? I would like to use the new water. But would I have to acclimate the corals all over to it? Thanks...

Crap right off the bat ran out of tubs for the corals. Can't have them touching so the wife went to purchase a bunch of tubs. I should of used your trick Gary with the pool! Not starting out very good already.

How long can the corals sit in the tubs with no current or light? I'll try to make this short as possible time wise but it will be most of the day like that.

I would say 2 to 4 hrs dave relax man things nerver go as planned. If you need a hand you have my cell#

I am in the middle of a restack/total drain/clean of the 120..One would never think how much 120 gallons of water is lol.. over 100 corals and 100lbs of rock, what a mess

Dave thanks for the offer but I'm good now. Oh seems you might be getting good size frags now Dave. We have some casualties of war.. :hammer:

I'm with ya on that toddmh. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy..LOL.

The 180 is almost empty. All rock work out almost 200lbs. Few fish left to catch that hid, but have to wait for the tank water to settle down. I kicked up a mini sand storm.

I appreciate the help I'm getting from my friends and family here, but let me tell ya non- fish people have no clue what we do...

Wish I could say I was done but not. Just setting the 90 gallon in place now. Still have to plumb it up, do the sump, the aquascape then fill it up. I hope to make it by tonight. But I highly doubt I will. I'm too picky with my aquascape....
