Hello all,

Thanks for your responses in advance.

i just replaced one of my 10k DE XM 250 WATT bulbs with a USHIO 10K DE 250 WATT and it has a major yellow tint compared to the XM's.. looks like a 6500 or less to me.. are USHIO's more yellow than XM? is it possible the bulb got banged up in shipping (if so wouldn't it just be dead?? its runnin of a 4month old Icecap .. thanks again,
Jim

Thanks... I figured as much.. but needed some more input.. my next step is going to be switching ballasts.. (i have 3 double ended) just to make sure its not the ballast before i give Drfosters a call.. probably will blame me .. we will see.. should be interesting..
thanks

Jim

Looks like it is the icecap ballast.. switched the pendant to another 250 identical icecap ballasts and bingo white! .. then put it back after waiting 10 minutes.. .. disconnected all other lights.. and things on that circuit.. yellow... weird.. icecap is only 4months old.. off to read the icecap forum

thanks for your help..

Jim
